ABOUT US

Welcome to LA PURISIMA CATHOLIC School

We are so excited to welcome both returning and new families to La Purisima Catholic School! Whether you are rejoining us or are new to our community, we want to express our sincere gratitude for entrusting us with your child’s education and spiritual growth. Your support means so much to us, and we look forward to working together to help each student grow in faith, academics, and character.

Since our founding in 1965 by the Sisters of the Order of the Company of Mary, Our Lady, LPCS has been dedicated to providing a solid foundation for our students. Guided by the charism of St. Jeanne de Lestonnac, we focus on core values such as Fulfilling their Name, Extending their Hand, and Maintaining their Flame, helping our students become compassionate and well-rounded individuals.

To our returning families, you already know what makes LPCS special: our strong academics, rich faith experiences, and the opportunities for students to explore their gifts through extracurriculars and leadership roles. We’re also celebrating milestones like our Centennial Legacy, a reminder of the incredible history we’re all part of.

To our new families, we are thrilled to have you join the LPCS community! We are committed to ensuring that your child has a positive and enriching experience as they embark on their journey with us. We are here to support you every step of the way and are excited to see the many ways your family will contribute to our vibrant school community.

It’s a great day to become a Cavalier!

Learning Today to Make a Difference Tomorrow

Why Choose a Catholic School?

Choosing a Catholic school for your child’s education means embracing a nurturing environment that fosters both academic excellence and spiritual growth. La Purisima Catholic School is committed to providing a well-rounded education guided by faith, moral values, and compassion. With a dedicated team of educators, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community, where each student is encouraged to discover their unique talents and potential.

Through a balanced curriculum, enriched by the teachings of Christ, we aim to prepare our students to become responsible, compassionate, and resilient individuals, ready to positively impact their communities and the world at large. We invite you to join our school family and embark on a transformative journey of learning, faith, and service.

Prayer

Prayer is an integral part of each day. Morning prayer, prayer before meals, prayer before dismissal, and prayers for special intentions are recited throughout the day.

Liturgy

As a school community, we celebrate the liturgy together at the 9:30 AM Mass once a week. The school liturgies are prepared by teachers and students, with participation from the entire school. Each week, students take an active role in the Mass through readings and other liturgical duties. We also attend Mass on other weekdays and Holy days of Obligation are observed.

On the second Sunday of each month, our school joins the parish community for the Sunday 10:00 AM Mass. Teachers help prepare the liturgy, and students and their families participate while proudly representing our school in uniform-through their presence, prayer and active involvement in the mass.

Sacraments

Reconciliation is offered twice a year for students in grades 2-8. Students in second grade and up, who have been baptized and receive instruction in the School Sacramental Program, are eligible to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist.

Baptism is also offered to those students in need of this sacrament. Sacramental programs are coordinated through the Parish office.
