LEADERSHIP + ENRICHMENT

Growing in Leadership, Knowledge, and Faith Beyond the Classroom

At La Purisima, we believe in forming young leaders who grow in confidence, responsibility, and service—both in and out of the classroom. Students are encouraged to take part in various leadership roles throughout the school year that foster personal growth and strengthen our faith-centered community.

Student COUNCIL

Open to students in grades 4–8, the Student Council provides an opportunity for students to represent their peers, plan school-wide events, promote school spirit, and practice communication and leadership skills. Students may run for various positions, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Class Representatives.

ALTAR SERVING

Students in grades 5–8 may choose to become Altar Servers, assisting the priest during Mass. This role helps students grow in reverence, responsibility, and deeper understanding of the Catholic faith through active participation in the liturgy.

FAITH FAMILY LEADERS

Our 8th-grade students serve as Faith Family Leaders, guiding multi-grade groups during special activities, prayer services, and service projects. They model leadership, teamwork, and compassion, creating meaningful connections across all grade levels.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BUDDIES

Middle school students are paired with younger students in preschool through 1st grade to accompany and support them during weekly Mass. These buddy relationships foster mentorship, kindness, and community while helping our youngest learners feel confident and connected.
